Is STAMP4U free?
Completely free. All four generators (circle, rectangle, oval, square) are unlimited with no signup. The site is funded by ads.
Is the company info I type stored anywhere?
No. STAMP4U is a pure front-end tool — the preview runs entirely in your browser. Company names, addresses and phone numbers are never uploaded to any server and are never visible to us.
Can I use the generated image directly on contracts or filings?
Not recommended. STAMP4U outputs a preview image for design confirmation, internal review or handing to a stamp maker as artwork. Formal legal documents should still use a physical stamp impression.
Can I download a high-resolution file?
Yes. "Download SVG" gives you a vector file that scales to any size without loss. "Download PNG" exports a 4× resolution raster. Both are suitable for stamp makers.
Which fonts are supported?
English: Default (Noto Sans HK), Times New Roman, Arial, Arial Narrow, 標楷體, 新細明體. Chinese: all of the English fonts plus, on the square generator, classical chop fonts — 圓體, 隸書, 黑體, 顏體, 篆體, 宋體.
Why do Chinese fonts sometimes render differently in the downloaded SVG?
SVG stores a font-family reference, not the glyphs themselves. When the stamp maker opens the SVG without the same fonts installed, the system falls back to a default. Workaround: send the matching font file alongside, or convert the SVG to PNG / PDF before sharing.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The site is responsive and works on iOS Safari and Android Chrome. Complex stamps (like the circle) are easier to fine-tune on a larger screen.
Why only 4 stamp types?
These four cover 90%+ of real Hong Kong company needs. For exotic shapes (novelty, signature, numbering stamps) contact a local stamp maker for custom work.
Does the site save my settings?
Not right now — every page load resets to defaults. If you need to keep a design, copy the SVG source and save it locally; you can paste it back to share with a stamp maker.
I'm a previous STAMP4U user. Does the old site still work?
The original stamp4u.hk has been retired. This site takes over with the same core functionality plus extras (more fonts, mobile UI, SVG download, Traditional Chinese / English interface). All generator logic is preserved byte-for-byte.
